County road ferries
The Møre and Romsdal County Authority is responsible for all the ferry routes in the county that follow county roads, through the FRAM public transport service. You can find more information about FRAM here.

National road ferries
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) is responsible for the national road ferries in Møre and Romsdal.
These are the national road ferries:
- 10 Volda-Folkestad
- 11 Festøya-Solavågen
- 33 Molde-Vestnes
- 48 Halsa-Kanestraum
Ferry route 18 Geiranger-Hellesylt is operated commercially.
Ferry fare provisions
The provisions for ferry fares in Møre and Romsdal can be found in the regulations of ferry rates. You can find the national regulation of ferry rates and fares for the ferries here.
Electric vehilcles get a 50 percent discount off regular ticket prices according to the regulation of ferry rates. That is, if the regular ticket price for a passenger car is 100 NOK the regular price for an electric vehicle will be 50 NOK. Additionally you get another 50 percent discount if you have an AutoPASS for ferry account (40 percent for a company).
The purpose with AutoPASS for ferry is to automate the payment for travel by ferry. You can find information about AutoPASS here.
Note! From 6th April 2020, ticketing is done by license plate recognition. You do not pay manually to the crew on the ferry. This will apply to all county road connections until further notice.
Alternative route due to landslide/avalanche on county road 63
If county road 63 between Eidsdal and Geiranger is closed for long due to a landslide/avalanche, an alternative route with ferry can be inserted between Hellesylt and Geiranger. You can find information about the alternative route for the county road if closed here (in Norwegian only).
